Quick instructions —
First Browse or Search the posted Wishes. Advanced Search will allow you to enter a zip code and search all Wishes within a radius you specify. You can Search for Wishes only in your Zip Code, or expand the search radius to find the closest Wishes to you. When you click a link in the Search and Browse lists you will be taken to the Wish itself, where you can initiate contact with the Wisher.
When you view the Wish by clicking the link in the listings, you will be taken to the Wisher’s profile.
There are two ways to contact the Wisher . . .
- one, by clicking the “Contact [Wisher]” link in the body of the Wish listing, and compose a short message which will generate an email to the Wisher and notify the Wishministrators.
- and two, by clicking the Gear Actions icon in the Profile header and choosing “Private Message.”
We’d like you to please DO BOTH. Send a short message to express your intention to Grant the Wish, discuss any further details, and make future arrangements for delivery. So, after the email is sent, you should also find and click the Gear icon and choose Private message, compose and send, which will generate a message and Notification on the website the next time the Wisher logs in.
Logistics
Once the Grantor has indicated to the Wisher their intention to Grant the Wish, the Wisher and Grantor should communicate privately on any further details and to make the delivery arrangements. Once the Wish is delivered, both Wisher and Grantor should contact one of the PAW Admins and report that the Wish has been Granted, so we can update the Wishes database.
