I have an idea, something for the kids on Halloween. My suggestion is simple yet fun.
As we are in a once-a-century pandemic. many may forego the traditional trick-or-treating this year. So let’s reverse it — instead of the tradition of kids going out for candy, maybe have the candy come to the kids this year in the form of Halloween treat buckets?
We might suggest only store-bought, sealed packages — no homemade stuff or fruit (unless from someone you know and trust) — small trinkets and toys would be permitted. The buckets could be doorstep drop offs or meeting arranged privately between Wisher and Grantor in a public location as with Christmas wishes. Inexpensive plastic or tin buckets could be a handy container to deliver the goods.
This will give us all an opportunity to test the new system, give pandemic kids some candy, and allow us to tweak and improve the system as we ramp up for this years Christmas holiday season.
What do you all think? Feel free to comment with feedback.
Sounds good. But Keep in mind not all kids can have sweets. My 6 yr old nephew was born with short gut syndrome and can not have sweets. Neither can my son who is 15. For him I usually do ear buds etc. Just a thought.
good idea..well make sure to incoorperate that into the wish. ty.
I love this idea
I love this idea. My kids are upset they can’t go trick or treating and with our medical under lying issue, wearing a mask is a no deal for us to go trick or treating. My kiddos feel so disappointed and left out. I sure all kids are tho. Emily I love this idea. You all are so kind and caring. Thank you
aww, ty,we dont know if this will work, but are gonna try.Ty so much for your comment..made my whole day!
Welcome Emily 🙂
I pray that this works and the whole site itself 🙂

Is there and age limit
yes, sometime today well have an update. and details.
I THINK THIS IS A GREAT IDEA I HAVE 8 GRANDKIDS I HAVE BEEN BUYING A LOT OF DIFFERENT BUCKETS AND BAGS TO PUT STUFF IN I BOUGHT SMALL STUFF ANIMALS AND LITTLE TRINKETS AND GOT LITTLE BAGS TO FILL WITH LOSE CANDY PLAN ON GETTING MORE STUFF I LIVE IN A SMALL TRAILER PARK THAT HAS SOME SMALL KIDS SO I WILL BE MAKING UP EXTRA BAGS OR BUCKETS TO FILL FOR THE OTHER KIDS, AT THE END OF HALLOWEEN I BUY A BUNCH OF DIFFERENT CUSTOM AND PUT BACK FOR THE FOLLOWING YEARS I HAVE A BIG TUBBER BIN FULL OF DIFFERENT SIZES FOR BOYS OR GIRLS FROM SMALL TO LARGE.
Yes, for this Halloween Season test run, the age limit is 18. Instead of kids going out Trick-or-Treating, the candy buckets will come to them. It’s a pandemic alternative to the traditional Halloween activity.
Great idea 💜
