We now have browser push notifications at Pick-a-Wish. This should eliminate the communication problems of those who are email-challenged. Many Wishers don’t know their Wishes have been granted because their Facebook emails are old and not accessible, or Grantors are not following instructions to also send a PAW Private Message to their Wisher, or if they are following those instructions, the Wisher is not logging into Pick-a-Wish often enough to see and reply to the private message.
Now, Pick-a-Wish members will, after opting-in, receive instant notifications in their browser of new posts, mentions, and messages on Pick-a-Wish whether they are logged in or not. After opting-in, you will now receive instant notifications that someone has send you a message or commented on your Wish. But you must opt-in to receive these browser notifications.
To opt-in, simply go to www.pick-a-wish.org and when prompted allow Pick-a-Wish USA to send you notifications. You will then receive instant notifications from Pick-a-Wish in your browser whether you are logged in or not.
Special note to Grantors: In order to ensure that your Wisher(s) are aware of your intention to grant their Wish, please use the Gear Icon on their Profile to send them a Private Message expressing your intention to Grant their Wish.
Thanks for following these instructions in order to keep Pick-a-Wish USA running smoothly!
Can someone tell me if my wish was ever granted or if anyone looked at it
Hi Elizabeth – Not that we know of. You can see how many times your Wish has been viewed at the bottom of the Wish.
Ya people looked at it like 76 times but nothing else
I created account and posted a wish for a family in need and it said to wait for an email confirmation of the account that I tried to create and I still have not gotten an email so I have no way of knowing if it was received??
